Disability Research
The Disability Research SIG is composed of a diverse and growing group of social work researchers with heterogeneous substantive interests, methodlogical training and lines of inquiry, but united by a focus on research that improves the well-being, living conditions and participation of persons with disability in the United States and abroad.
As of this writing (January, 2010) we are using Linked-In as our chief platform for online communication and exchange but we will soon be diversifying to other platforms. We will be drafting a symposium for the 2011 SSWR conference in Tampa. If you are interested in joining our group please e-mail me at jbricout@mail.ucf.edu
